R.I.P. Tony Snow
His principles were misguided in the way that only someone's on the far right (or left) could be, and his demeanor typified the arrogance we expect from this administration, but he seemed like a good person. Rest in peace.

Brain Teasers
THREE BULBS: If you have three bulbs in one room upstairs and three switches that control them downstairs, how do you determine which switch controls which bulb without going upstairs more than once?
THE BROKEN MINT MACHINE: There are 10 machines that each mint 1 oz coins. However, one of the machines is broken and is minting coins weighing 0.9 oz. How can you figure out which machine is broken if you are allowed just one scale and one weighing?
Answers to Brain Teasers
THREE BULBS: Flip the first switch and leave it flipped for a few minutes. Turn it off, flip the second switch, and go upstairs. One bulb will be off but warm (the first switch), one bulb will be illuminated (the second), and one will be off (the third).
MINT MACHINE: Take one coin from machine one, two from machine two, three from machine three, and so on. Normally, the total weight should be 55oz. If the total is off by0.6 oz, then you know machine six is the faulty machine.
